Maintenance Manager
Location: Tampa, FL
Overview:
We are searching for an immediate Maintenance Manager for our Management Team in Tampa FL. 5 – 7 Years Experience in Maintenance Management. You will have experience in maintenance management systems, TPM Programs, 5-why Analysis for equipment failure and prevention. Your expertise includes mentoring and coaching your direct and indirect maintenance staff. Excellent company and growing rapidly. We are a recession proof business, so we are always expanding.
Compensation: Annual base salary range depending on experience is $105,000.00 to $130,000.00 ++
This position supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Employee Development and Management:
- Ensure the competence of both hourly and salaried employees by initiating training, coaching, counseling, or discipline based on performance reviews.
- Encourage participation by delegating responsibilities, sharing departmental and plant goals and constraints, and recognizing individual achievements.
- Monitor employee performance through regular reviews and support their growth and motivation.
Operational Excellence:
- Continuously identify and implement new operational methods to enhance equipment reliability, extend equipment lifespan, and reduce departmental costs.
- Develop and maintain supplier procedures to ensure equipment reliability, maximize supplier services, minimize costs, and optimize plant inventory.
- Plan and coordinate inspection, preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and corrective maintenance for all plant equipment.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
- Align maintenance activities with overall plant operations, including long-term (3-Year Performance Plan) and short-term (monthly/weekly) goals.
- Set objectives, guidelines, and priorities for the department, and report on actions and outcomes via monthly updates and annual reports.
- Contribute to cost budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure control, and assist in long-term goal setting and project planning.
Compliance and Safety:
- Collaborate with the Environmental Manager to ensure adherence to the environmental operating permit.
- Ensure compliance with plant policies and provide safe working conditions for all employees.
- Verify that vendors have appropriate insurance, hold harmless agreements, and other necessary documentation before granting property access.
Inventory and Vendor Management:
- Work with stores and purchasing teams to establish appropriate inventory and stocking levels for spare parts.
Maintenance Supervision:
- Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On-Call Program and manage department staffing using overtime, contractors, or other resources as needed.
- Lead as a proficient Maintenance Manager with expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) systems, both theoretically and practically.
Performance Metrics:
- Focus on equipment reliability and life expectancy, adherence to maintenance budgets, and compliance with operational guidelines.
- Promote communication and cooperation within the department and across other plant functions.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.
