We're looking for a dynamic Maintenance Manager who thrives in a hands-on environment. In our fast-paced injection molding facility, you'll lead by example, working directly with our team to maintain and optimize our equipment. This role demands a strong blend of mechanical and electrical expertise, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and a passion for minimizing downtime. You'll be more than a manager; you'll be a key player in ensuring our production runs smoothly through proactive maintenance, swift problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform hands-on diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
- Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve recurring equipment failures and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate calibration and performance of machines to maintain process tolerances.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process failures using strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Adjust, repair, and improve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance technicians.
- Foster a culture of proactive maintenance, problem-solving, and safety.
- Schedule, delegate, and execute maintenance tasks as a working manager.
- Enforce safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and ensure compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and training.
- Maintain on-call availability for urgent maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering ; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an injection molding or plastics manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems in injection molding equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with various injection molding machines (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Nissei, Milacron).
- Experience with PLCs, robotic systems, chillers, dryers, conveyors, and compressors.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.
- Process Improvement: Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles (a plus).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform regular physical activity, including lifting, standing, and working with tools and machinery.
