Hours:

  • 5 am to 2 pm
  • No OT

Primary Functions

The position entails primary responsibilities such as delivering safe and timely electrical support, conducting preventative maintenance, overseeing installation, servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across various operational machinery within a manufacturing industrial setting.

Essential Skill Sets

Essential to this role are a candidate's mechanical and electrical expertise, a sound understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, and a demonstrated basic troubleshooting and machine repair capacity.

Additionally, this role is part of a succession plan for the maintenance department. This is a crucial aspect of this position, which ensures a smooth transition of responsibilities and knowledge transfer for sustained operational efficiency.

Facilities Operations

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department
  • Leads team and provides hands-on support, evaluating circumstances and providing input and guidance on the scope and expectations of the work being done.
  • Attains knowledge and becomes a subject expert of all on-site facilities systems, utilities, and equipment.
  • Leads operation processes, installation, and troubleshooting of PLC ladder logic and HMI’s.
  • Collaborates with vendors and manages the project's scope, expectations, budget, and work being done.
  • Authors all facilities and maintenance policies and processes.
  • Adheres and collaborates with management and EHS coordinator on all safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
  • Interactive member of the leadership team.

Technical Skills

  • · PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
  • Understanding, installing, and troubleshooting of PLC ladder logic and HMI’s
  • 2-3 years in troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level.
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Able to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives· Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of power transmission equipment and bearings.
  • Basic welding skills are but not required.

General

  • Familiar with computers and Microsoft software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, maturely, and professionally.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
  • On semi-regular occasions, this role will be required to be available during off-hours, weekends, and holidays to oversee critical projects or support plant operations in unique circumstances or urgently respond to Facilities systems or infrastructure breakdowns or incidents.
  • High school diploma or equivalent Military training and or Technical School

Pay:

  • Bonus paid out quarterly
  • Negotiable with experience
