ASI Doors is looking for a highly organized individual to take charge of our maintenance department as a Maintenance / Manufacturing Support specialist. This role entails ensuring the safety, accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution of tasks within various work centers and departments. Additionally, the position involves identifying opportunities for process improvements and leading their implementation and standardization across the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following at a minimum:
Conduct maintenance and repairs on machinery, forklifts, small tools, air compressors, dryers, foaming machines, molding equipment, lighting, heating, and cooling systems. Provide on-call support for urgent repairs or issues.
Oversee and manage the preventative maintenance program.
Complete and track various safety inspections and repairs.
Act as a key member of the Safety Committee.
Organize and manage show doors, including making stands, setting up and tearing down at show sites, and coordinating trucking, riggers, and carpenters.
Manage hazardous waste.
Assist with the coordination of various compliance and regulatory programs.
Provide support for office personnel requests.
Oversee the safety program for fire extinguishers, exit lights, and sprinkler systems.
Collaborate with engineers on new prototype doors, manufacture parts for new designs, and assist in designing new products, templates, tools, and fixtures.
Ensure building security, including on-call duties with the security company.
Provide assistance in manufacturing as needed, including assembly, machining, and welding.
Develop and implement a Maintenance Electronic Record System to track preventative and recurring maintenance activities, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office software, including Excel and Outlook, is beneficial. Experience with maintenance software tracking systems, including logging, tracking, and overall management.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift and scissors lift experience required; OSHA training .
Other Qualifications: Must maintain confidentiality.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is desired.
At least five years of maintenance and machine repair experience required.
Basic MIG welding, plumbing, and electrical skills are required.
Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and management.
Mathematical Skills
Proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of decimals and fractions.
Ability to work from drawings, specifications, and formulas involving limited detail.
Ability to use and interpret adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and scales.
Ability to interpret graphs.
Other Skills and Abilities
Experience with power and hand tools is a must.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
Proficiency with tape measures and electrical testing devices.
