The maintenance mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment within a facility, ensuring its proper functionality by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs using a variety of hand and power tools; their duties may also include preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure safety standards are met

Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance: Regularly inspect and service equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements.
- Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, identify faulty components, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Installation and modification: Install new equipment, modify existing systems, and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Safety compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures while working on machinery.
- Communication: Collaborate with other departments to identify maintenance needs and report any critical issues
Requirements:
- Mechanical knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear systems.
- Hand and power tool proficiency: Ability to use a wide range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Problem-solving skills: Analyze mechanical problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Technical reading comprehension: Interpret technical manuals and blueprints to understand equipment specifications.
- Physical ability: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended period
