Chandler Hall, a Quaker long term care community has an opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic.
This role is responsible to maintain the physical environment of the facility and to ensure licensing compliance of all state regulations. The Maintenance department strives to meet the needs of the to provide a safe and welcoming home environment.
Part time evenings and weekends available
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing maintenance, including small equipment repair, general light carpentry and building repair, minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work, facility setups, and security duties when assigned.
- May be responsible for maintaining the grounds, trimming of trees and snow removal from walks, parking lots, and cars.
- Responds to building and equipment emergency situations.
- On-Call on a rotating basis.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Make necessary material and equipment list for procurement by employee or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintains all equipment and supplies in storage areas, assuring neat, orderly storage and efficient use of space.
- Works in a safe manner utilizing hearing, eye protection, and dust masks where appropriate. Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes necessary action to correct or report to Maintenance Supervisor.
High School Diploma needed
Experience in maintenance field, preferably in a community like setting
