Lantmännen Unibake USA, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team in St. Petersburg, FL. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic maintenance team responsible for keeping bakery machinery, packaging machinery and production support equipment running. This role requires cross-functional communication and cooperation with all departments in our 24/7 bakery environment. Training for 1-3 months will take place on first shift (6am-2pm), with the plan to eventually fill a third shift position (10pm-6am) which offers shift differential pay of $1.50/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Keeps Bakery Machinery, Packaging Machinery and Production Support Equipment running
Repairs breakdowns in a timely manner (critical for the baking process)
Following GMP’S
Following Food Safety Practices
Responsible for food safety requirements pertaining to BRC, AIB, GMP and any other legal or legislative rules and / or regulations.
Keep the Work Area orderly and clean
Perform Daily Checks on Machinery and Equipment following, but not limited to the Daily Checklist provided
Performance of Preventive Maintenance following the tasks in the Handbook of the Machine Suppliers or following the instructions in the preventive Maintenance Schedule
Replacing Parts on Bakery Machinery, Packaging Machinery and Production Support Equipment
Set-up of Production Support Equipment and Machinery
Cleaning of disassembled Machinery and Equipment
Industrial electrical knowledge required
Ammonia refrigeration background a plus
