Maintenance Mechanic - Injection Molding ALL SHIFTS

Position Overview

Responsible for performing maintenance and repair of facility and equipment.

Essential Job Functions

· Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of plastic injection molding machines.

· Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of production and building equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems.

· Identify repair needed, select repair procedure, order parts and complete repair or replacement of worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.

· Perform preventative maintenance operations on all equipment.

· Perform duties related to general facility maintenance.

· Operate cranes, lift molds and move presses as needed.

· Assist with the implementation of and abide by all F&M safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to:

o Lockout/Tagout

o Accident reporting

o Forklift Safety

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a maintenance mechanic

· Prior experience with injection molding machines a plus

· Prior experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems

· Prior experience operating cranes and moving large, heavy pieces of equipment

· Prior experience working with robotics and PLCs a plus

· Basic knowledge of common standard computer programs (Word, Excel, email, etc.)

· Capable of reading and understanding various kinds of job related documentation, instruction manuals and standard operating procedures

· Able to communicate, write and read English Must be able to work independently and safely

· Must be able to work overtime as needed to cover off shifts
