An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in Greenwich. CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for Mechanical / Plumbing Maintenance Engineers to be based in a commercial building near Greenwich. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive Mechanical / Plumbing maintenance alongside the maintenance team.

Hours of work / contract details

• Monday - Friday

\n

• Initially working 8am - 5pm, will switch to 7am - 4pm / 10am - 7pm 

\n

• £24p/h

\n

• Greenwich, London

\n

• Starting immediately 

\n

• Temp to perm contract

\n

• Salary up up £42k

\n

Requirements

\n
• City & Guilds / NVQ

\n

• NVQ in Mechanical & Plumbing

\n

• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)

\n

• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance

\n

• An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units

\n

• Multi-skilled

\n

• Good communication skills

\n

• Excellent customer skills

\n

• Need to be able to travel back home after finishing at 00:00am 

\n

Mechanical duties:

\n
• Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing

\n

• AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans

\n

• Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)

\n

• Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)

\n

• Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing

\n

• Water pressurization units

\n

• Chlorifiers – annual inspection, descaling

\n

• Steam Plant

\n

• Condensers, Condenser Returns

\n

• Cooling towers

\n

• Softeners

\n

• Humidifiers

\n

• Hydraulics

\n

• Pneumatics

\n

• Boilers – re-sets

\n

• Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults

\n
