Maintenance Supervisor

Objectives of the position: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair, and preventative maintenance of machines and equipment.
Main tasks:
- Performance of tasks in line with the Corvaglia Closures USA values and ensuring a safe work place.
- Planning, performance and documentation of preventive maintenance and repair work on machinery, systems and the associated peripheral equipment
- Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility. Troubleshooting and rectification of faults suffered by machinery, systems, operating facilities and power supply system
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
- Oversees maintenance of injection moulding machines, downstream systems including vision and slit & fold equipment, digital printer, automatic box maker/bag inserter and other assembly machines.
- Documentation of performed maintenance work
- Periodic safety checks of systems subject to mandatory tests (cranes, lifting systems, gates, E-Systems cooling unit, ventilation system)
- Installation, conversion and adjustment of assembly system
- Support of production activities during set-up and optimization work performed on machinery and systems
- Oversees outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility.
- Manages all HVAC, Water, Fire, Electrical, Plumbing services to the building.
- Maintain all training, maintenance and installation documents
- Train and mentor machine operators and other maintenance technicians.
- Create and track process improvements
- On-call service to ensure smooth production
- Suspension of production in the event of risks to people and the environment
- Requesting help from third parties
Responsibility:
- Ensuring of best possible production facility
- Documentation and archiving of all relevant data
- Planning and implementation of maintenance, repair and conversion work as well as rectification of faults suffered by technical systems
- Compliance with measures aimed at ensuring occupational safety, hygiene and accident prevention
Authorities:
- Procurement of information and provision of advice internally and externally
Requirements profile
Education and training:
Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or other similar manufacturing-related specialization
Minimum experience:
- At least three years of professional experience in a similar area of activity
- Experience working with electrical/electronic systems
- Existing knowledge in the fields of maintenance, building systems or electrical engineering
- Knowledge in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics and control engineering
- HMI – PLC Knowledge and troubleshooting
- Experience in the repairing of machinery and assembly systems in Injection Molding facility
- Experience with automated vision systems.
- Maintenance work in a food safe environment
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Experience working with CMMS
- Knowledge and experience in HVAC or building systems
- Knowledge of general mechanical engineering (repair of mechanical components)
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities
- Involvement in developmental project work including working with opeations and parts vendors
