Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Prioritize and assign maintenance tasks, including equipment repairs, inspections, and installations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance personnel.
- Develop and maintain shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for maintenance activities, emergency repairs, and employee absences.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, including workplace and equipment safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and provide updates on best practices and company procedures.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation, including work orders, logs, and shift reports.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments to plan and execute maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability for critical repairs while controlling costs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for equipment and facility maintenance.
- Participate in project planning for new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
- Support and participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards, including SQF (Safe Quality Food) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance personnel follow company safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all maintenance areas.
