Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Prioritize and assign maintenance tasks, including equipment repairs, inspections, and installations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and maintain shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for maintenance activities, emergency repairs, and employee absences.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, including workplace and equipment safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and provide updates on best practices and company procedures.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation, including work orders, logs, and shift reports.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments to plan and execute maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability for critical repairs while controlling costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Participate in project planning for new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
  • Support and participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Safety and Quality Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards, including SQF (Safe Quality Food) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance personnel follow company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all maintenance areas.
