We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Supervisor who enjoys working with people, especially seniors, to help keep our community safe, clean, and running smoothly. What You’ll Do:
- Fix and maintain rooms—you’ll handle repairs, touch-ups, and improvements to ensure each space is safe and comfortable.
- Respond quickly and cordially to maintenance requests from . Your positive attitude will go a long way in creating a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with the Director to identify when big repairs, upgrades, or replacements are needed, always keeping ’ well-being in mind.
- Help new settle in by getting their rooms ready and assisting them with their move-in needs.
- Ensure that feel comfortable and valued by being friendly, approachable, and helpful.
- Work with contractors on maintenance for key systems like HVAC, boilers, and plumbing, making sure everything runs smoothly for our .
- Conduct regular safety checks and assist with any emergencies, such as fire, medical issues, or accidents.
- Be part of the team! Participate in community activities, support family events, and help foster a warm, community-centered atmosphere.
- Always maintain confidentiality regarding information, ensuring their privacy and dignity.
- Ability to coordinate contractors, run fire and tornado drills, and maintain maintenance records. Keep annual inspections on track.
- Experience working on older buildings along with light electrical, plumbing, boilers, state fire marshalls, HUD inspectors, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in maintenance, construction, or general contracting.
- Someone who enjoys interacting with people and brings a positive attitude to the workplace.
- Good communication skills—being cordial and helpful with seniors, staff, and visitors is key.
- Experience with building codes, safety procedures, and systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- A willingness to go above and beyond to make our feel at home.
- Flexibility to handle various tasks and be available for occasional weekend work when needed.
