PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: The primary function of the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all data is accurately captured recorded to planned preventative maintenance and supervising the union labor force. The position will ensure that all costs including parts and labor related to preventative maintenance are entered correctly into the maintenance software program by the department Supervisors daily. The position also will be assisting in the management information system comprising of KPI/KPOs and in achieving the goals and objectives as laid out. It’s also essential that the union labor stays on task and performs work in a safe manner. You may also be requested to perform security-related duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a leader in terms of driving safety through the engineering organization.
- Centralize all data entry related activities including, but not limited to, labor work hours, breakdown records, equipment fueling, and preventative maintenance observations.
- Assist in developing a highly efficient Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Data analysis on engineering costs and other organizational metrics to improve both cost and productivity in the organization.
- Support management with relevant and timely data regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of various processes in the organization.
- Assist in procurement process and keep records up to date.
- Assist in planning preventative maintenance on existing and new equipment of the terminal, implementing a proper planning team for the maintenance of the various categories of equipment, especially container handlers and yard equipment.
- All other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULES:
This position works regularly 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, the incumbent will need to be available when needed. The position may include work during weekends and in overtime as per the demands of the equipment maintenance. Extended hours will be required from time to time without notice.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education and/or Experience - high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Two to Five years of experience in data analytics and planning activities.
- Experience in large organization in the middle management role and high visibility projects.
- Knowledge of local and oversee parts suppliers on Container handling equipment.
- Experience working in a Union environment.
- Experience in international logistics and/or marine terminals.
- Excellent office computer skills: familiarity with Oracle Fusion software is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

- Basic industrial office working environment.
- Workshop working conditions and on site during all weather conditions.
- Ability to work from heights, top of cranes, ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Being on call 24/7 in the event of emergencies.
- There will be requirements to work weekends, holidays, and nights, as per Terminal operational requirements.
- May have to work in areas where noise is moderate.
- PPE safety vest, safety glasses, hearing protection and work boots with safety toes.
