Maintenance Supervisor - Sugar Refinery – western NE
My client, a prominent Sugar Refinery, is seeking a proficient Maintenance Supervisor for their refinery located in western Nebraska. This pivotal role involves overseeing shift operations, managing direct reports, and ensuring the upkeep of systems and equipment through preventive measures and repairs. Upholding safety standards and company values is paramount, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in safety practices and demonstrate robust leadership qualities.
- Analyze and prioritize work requests and preventive maintenance tasks to support Total Productive Maintenance objectives, coordinating efficiently with internal and external resources.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance database for plant assets, utilizing SAP for efficient management and reporting.
- Monitor maintenance activities through SAP data analysis, identifying improvement areas and collaborating with technical resources to resolve issues.
- Create and manage weekly maintenance schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization and timely task completion.
- Coordinate with the Stores Manager to optimize parts procurement and minimize inventory waste, ensuring accuracy in technical documentation.

- Supervise, develop, and motivate maintenance team members, ensuring clear communication and effective training for safe and efficient task execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold workplace cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with 3-5 years of maintenance experience; technical degree .
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
- High school diploma required, with additional college or Bachelor's degree .
- Team-oriented mindset with proven experience in Preventative Maintenance and Root Cause Analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and ideally, AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all organizational levels.
Compensation:
- Salary: $85K-$100K annually, plus comprehensive benefits, 401K, and relocation assistance.
