Maintenance Tech
Job DescriptionJob Description
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment and machinery, and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct troubleshooting on production line equipment and other machinery to quickly resolve breakdowns and malfunctions.
- Inspect, adjust, and replace defective parts using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain a log of daily maintenance activities and equipment repair work to ensure accurate reporting and tracking of issues.
- Assist in the installation, modification, or upgrade of equipment and machinery as needed.
- Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures during maintenance activities.
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, HVAC systems, plumbing, and building repairs.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and notify supervisors when parts need to be ordered to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and reduce equipment downtime.
- Participate in the maintenance and safety training programs, continuously updating skills to adapt to new equipment and technology.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production delays or safety risks.
