We provide conditioning and cold working services for the specialty steel and titanium manufacturing industry of southwestern Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia, and eastern Ohio. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Electrical-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems and equipment throughout the plant. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production units and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, PLCs, pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical circuits, control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment.

- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or wiring in a timely manner as well as welding repairs and fabrication.

- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in resolving production issues as needed.

- Perform inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.

- Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and system modifications as needed.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for all work performed.

- Collaborate with the production team to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending enhancements to maintenance procedures and practices.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or technical certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field .

- 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.

- Proficient in mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

- Experience with welding, machining, and fabrication. 

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements: 

- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.

- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

- Comfort working with electrical equipment, high-voltage systems, and heavy machinery.
