The Maintenance Technician for Powder Coating is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of powder coating machinery. The technician will use technical skills to repair and maintain equipment, as well effectively communicate with Paint Line Manager regarding machinery status.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with powder, washer, dry off and cure oven equipment.
• Perform all preventative maintenance (PM) work on the Paint Line equipment.
• Dismantle defective equipment pumps, burners, IR, and repair or replace defective parts.
• Change belts, bearings, pulleys, conveyor, membranes, filters and motors as required.
• Conduct safety checks and return equipment to production.
• Understand and troubleshoot electrical wiring, sensors, relays, transformers and PLC operation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Document repairs made to equipment utilizing maintenance requests as per assignment.
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow OSHA regulations.
• Maintenance and Operate forklifts, scissors lifts, air compressor and boom lifts.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Industrial or Electrical Engineering, or similar fields is .
• 5+ years of paint, powder coating or surface treatment Maintenance/Operations/Engineering experience required.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and PLC troubleshoot operation.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Effective communication skills to report machinery repair status to the Paint Line Manager and other Supervisors.

This person will work in our Facility in Mission, Texas.
