Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lincoln Meadows Apartments. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance and carpentry, work well with others, and possess strong communication skills.
The person in this role will support the maintenance team with work orders a couple days a week and dedicate the remaining time to property improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Work Orders: Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
Emergency Repairs: Address urgent maintenance issues, including leaks, power failures, and HVAC malfunctions.
Unit Turnovers: Assist in preparing vacant apartments for new tenants by repairing, painting, cleaning, and replacing fixtures as needed.
Collaboration: Work with property management and outside vendors to coordinate repairs and improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of apartment maintenance or general maintenance experience .
Skills: Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
Availability: Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break , including 1 weekend a month for on-call emergencies as needed.
Drivers License: Valid drivers license with a reliable mode of transportation.
