Summary:
The purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance and repair of production machinery and facility involving multiple, moderately complex trade specialties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain production and facility equipment to include installation, set up, preventative maintenance, and adjustments
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
- Process knowledge of programmable logic control (PLC)
- Preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance of grinders and assigned equipment
- Use prints, operating manuals, sketches and diagrams to dismantle, assemble, troubleshoot or repair equipment
- Repair and replace broken or faulty components
- Determine best course of action for repairs based on symptoms equipment is showing
- Align/calibrate equipment
- Run diagnostics to ensure functionality and keep down-time minimal
- Perform activities in a safe manner
- Execute lock out/ tag out procedures as required on all injection and related equipment
- Perform daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventative maintenance schedule
- Owns and maintains the required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
- Operate forklift as needed (must be forklift certified by Cinova Medical in order to operate)
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any downtime that can be avoided with proper preventative, predictive or continuous improvement ideas
- Assist in installation of new machines and auxiliary equipment
- Building maintenance and repairs
- Must have acceptable attendance record
- Attend all mandatory company meetings and safety education sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must be able to perform injection-molding machine general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Must be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Interface with other departments concerning problem solving, technical information, and special projects
- Proficient in plant infrastructure and knowledge of all tower, chillers, dryers, pumps, etc. that are vital to plant operation
- Proficient in plant shut down and start up
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Must demonstrate good judgment and decision-making ability
- Must possess interpersonal skills and be able to communicate on all levels
- High degree of communication and problem solving
- Ability to operate with a high degree of accountability for self and team
- Ability to work overtime and different shifts as required
- Must be a self-starter that can work independently or in a group environment
- Ability to follow assigned tasks
- Must be computer literate, and ability to use email
- Must be fully trained and perform duties efficiently within IQMS (i.e. Work Orders,Purchase Orders, etc.)
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems
- Experience in operating various hand tools and machining equipment
- Manufacturing (2 years required)
- Plastics Injection Molding (1 year )
- Maintenance (1 year required)
- Hydraulics (1 year )
Ability:
Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions in the English
Certificates and Licenses:
Lockout / Tagout Certification
Forklift Certification

Typical machine shop environment, requiring safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
