Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all equipment and systems within the food processing facility. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, and packaging machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and maintain boilers, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed for equipment repairs.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to uphold food safety, GMPs, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and work orders using the facilitys CMMS.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Follow all OSHA, FDA, USDA, and company safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Welding and fabrication skills .
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights when needed.
