Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems; replace or repair parts
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Participates in the Company Safety Programs and proactively upholds the Company Safety Culture
- Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Effectively communicates with co-workers and customers in a positive manner
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
What You'll Need
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
- Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
- Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
- Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
- Valid drivers license
- Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
