We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic maintenance operatives to join our expanding team of professionals in Birmingham. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, offering a pathway to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.\n\nAs part of the team, you'll play a vital role in providing mobile facilities support services across the client's sites.\n\nMaintenance Operatives are key to ensuring the smooth operation of various sites, taking responsibility for general maintenance, business support tasks, and delivering excellent service. You'll report to a Regional Operations Supervisor and work alongside mobile engineers to tackle reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance tasks.\n\nIf you're passionate about problem-solving, delivering top-notch results, and growing your skills, we want to hear from you!\n\nYour Main Responsibilities\n\nPerform planned maintenance tasks (e.g., fire alarm tests, water temperature checks, emergency lighting tests).\nRespond to reactive repairs and handle minor building fabric repairs, decorating, plumbing, and re-lamping tasks.\nConduct monthly utility meter readings and document all work accurately.\nSupport janitorial duties, office cleaning, and landscaping tasks as needed.\nParticipate in emergency standby rota and provide holiday/sickness cover when required.\nProvide excellent customer service and proactively report maintenance or H&S issues.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nExperience in building maintenance or similar roles.\nProactive, confident, and results-driven with a strong work ethic.\nUnderstanding of Health & Safety requirements in a building environment.\nAbility to follow risk and method statements and deliver quality work on time.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nKnowledge of building statutory compliance and a commitment to customer service.\nFull UK driver's license required.\n\nHealth & Safety Responsibilities\n\nAlways adhere to company policies and procedures.\nEnsure safe use of equipment and PPE, following all training provided.\nTake personal responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment.\nReport deficiencies or risks to your Line Manager promptly.Ready to Apply?\nIf you're ready to join a supportive team in Birmingham and take advantage of this Temp to Perm opportunity with the client, apply today!
