Job Description
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of critical production equipment.\nAs a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in minimising production downtime, carrying out planned maintenance, and troubleshooting breakdowns. \nThis role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including fabrication and welding.\n\nKey Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:\nDiagnose and repair breakdowns to minimise downtime.\nRead and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot and modify equipment.\nPerform preventative and planned maintenance using a Maintenance Management System.\nAssist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, including safe working at heights and confined spaces.\nCarry out electrical and mechanical tasks, including fabrication, welding, and minor electrical installations.What We’re Looking For:\nEssential:\n\nTime-served apprenticeship with a Level 3 qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds, or equivalent).\nProven experience in multiskilled maintenance, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\nAbility to read and troubleshoot control panel schematics and technical drawings.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.\nComfortable working in a shift-based role in a high-demand environment.Desirable:\n\nExperience with vacuum technology (advantageous but not essential).\nStrong computer literacy and familiarity with office software.\n\nWhat’s in it for You?\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nCareer development opportunities in a growing organisation.\nA dynamic and fast-paced working environment with a supportive team.\nTraining and upskilling in advanced maintenance technologies.Apply Today! \nIf you are a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!
