Maintenance Technician - Hotel

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician for a hotel in Orange Beach, AL.

We are seeking someone who can work both independently AND as part of a team. The Maintenance Technicians' responsibilities will include maintaining order of the property, completing tasks in a timely manner, and ensuring that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the completion of each project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
• Seeing projects through from start to completion.
• Considers all costs associated with each project, including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
• Performing quality control checks on all systems and products.
• Patrols the interior as well as the external perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Maintains order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, coordinates expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational, and persuasive manner.
• Ensuring time-based maintenance is completed according to timely repair schedules.
• Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance, and replacing old or faulty equipment.
• Providing technical support and training on all new equipment.
• Responds to guest complaints AND does adequate research to solve/develop the most effective solutions.
• Creates, maintains, and/or adheres to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
• Performs any other duties assigned by management. 

PAY:

The position will start at $17 - $19 an hour (depending on experience level)

SCHEDULE: 

TWO shifts are available: 7am-3pm -OR- 2pm-10pm - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

***Management is working to realign the schedules to provide everyone with two CONSECUTIVE days off and to have everyone on rotating weekends (so you don’t have to work every weekend)

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must pass a pre-employment background check AND have RELIABLE transportation to Orange Beach
