Maintenance Technician - HVAC
Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for production equipment, supporting utilities, and the operation of supporting utilities in support of meeting the production schedule.Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operation and preventive/corrective maintenance of utilities such as Potable Water, Purified Water, Chillers, Cooling Tower, HVAC, Compressed Air, Liquid Nitrogen, POTW, and Glycol Recovery systems.
- Responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment such as glass lined, stainless steel, and Hastelloy reactors, centrifuge, pressure filter Gutsche, vacuum pumps, and dryers.
- Responsible for coordinating maintenance work activities with Dept. Supervisors and/or lead operators.
- Responsible for compliance with all PPE, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Responsible to notify the appropriate person, or act, in case of suspected conditions that may cause or lead to injury, accident, incident, equipment damage, or other undesired situations.
- Responsible for providing feedback to Maintenance Manager and or Lead Mechanic during maintenance operations.
- Responsible to execute activities according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Responsible for compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for all other general activities assigned.
- Responsibilities include completing assigned work orders.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Professional experience 3-5 years experience (HVAC/Refrigeration Certification and/or pipefitter experience a plus)
- General understanding of equipment operations, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
- Must pass physical requirements associated with equipment handling, maintenance,
- Repair, and PPE usage.
- Able to lift up to 50 lb.
