Job Title: Maintenance Technician II
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician II to join our team and support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing multi-craft maintenance tasks with a strong emphasis on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure equipment reliability and overall operational efficiency. You will be expected to execute preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and play an active role in process improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time, hands-on position ideal for someone with strong technical skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on equipment malfunctions using systematic diagnostic methods

  • Install, align, and maintain mechanical drive systems and associated components

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, including major servicing and overhauls

  • Replace faulty or worn parts and ensure equipment is adjusted to meet operational specifications

  • Maintain proper lubrication schedules for machinery and mechanical components

  • Perform electrical testing using devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure system safety and reliability

  • Install, repair, or replace electrical components including wiring, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and switch boxes

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Recommend and implement process improvements based on equipment behavior and performance trends

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior maintenance technicians and machine operators

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance or demonstrated equivalent skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical background

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (drill press, band saw, etc.)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals

  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CMMS systems

  • Ability to interpret precision measuring devices

  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Successful completion of relevant certification testing

  • Experience mentoring or training team members in a manufacturing setting
