  • As an Injection Molding Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes within our facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your role will involve performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on injection molding machinery and other auxiliary equipment. You will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to analyze and resolve issues effectively. Your familiarity with programmable logic controllers and industrial maintenance practices will enhance our production efficiency. EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  • High School graduate

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum of 3 years in molding machine maintenance.

Working knowledge of electricity both AC/DC voltages

Advanced mechanical knowledge.

Ability to troubleshoot problems from electrical schematics.

Able to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams and correct problems within these systems.

Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Forklift operation

Must be able to read and write in English; excellent communication skills.

  • Experience with CMMS systems .
  • Experience in Industrial maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with the planning and setting up of automated production systems including robotics .
  • Experience with injection molding equipment.
  • Knowledge of systematic problem solving.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools/techniques.
  • Knowledge of design software (Pro-E, Solid Edge, NX).
  • Knowledge of tool room equipment (lathe, etc.)
  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards, related processes and core tools.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and executes the plant’s equipment, automation - and facility -maintenance, -installation, -integration and -repair processes.
  • Performs, electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, installation and repair of machinery, automation, production, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoots production and automation equipment during regular production runs.
  • Performs basic root cause analysis on equipment and machinery malfunctions.
  • Assists in setting up, integrating, and run off automation and production equipment.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance and project order number records as well as After Action Review (AAR) documents.
  • Develops and controls preventive and predictive maintenance system.
  • Creates, establishes preventative maintenance plans based on equipment manufacturers recommendations.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Controls spare parts inventory process including check in, check out and spot checks.
  • Monitors and controls department performance in view of overall business targets.
  • Analyses and recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Initiates and leads continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinates for technical emergencies to include weekend coverage if applicable.
  • Plans and supports outside maintenance and repair contractors on site.
  • Follows assigned quality management system processes and related documentation.

Repair machinery, prioritize work orders, assign and co-ordinate work requested on machinery , auxiliary equipment, building heating and cooling systems, forklifts etc.

Maintain a preventive maintenance program.

Investigate all reports of unsafe equipment and correct deficiencies

Computerize, organize and maintain necessary paperwork.

Prepare and maintain log reports on activities, including machine repairs and P.M’s.

Maintain a proper inventory level of machine parts and maintenance supplies.

Oil and grease production machinery per daily work schedule.

Replace lighting fixtures, switches and outlets. Install conduit.

Disassemble machine and clean parts for repair.

Assist with installation of molding machines.
