Maintenance Technician (Logistics emphasis)

With a state-of-the-art facility and a commitment to sustainability, KTG is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the continuous operation of our manufacturing plant.

Job Summary:

Multi-craft Maintenance Technician with emphasis on maintaining and repairing laser-guided vehicles (LGVs).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs and maintenance as needed
2. Perform electrical and software troubleshooting on laser-guided vehicles (LGVs) (Robotic Forklifts)
3. Ensure optimal performance of automated equipment on-site
4. Develop and report on equipment’s operational history and current status
5. Work with manufacturer and suppliers to ensure system issues are communicated and resolved timely
6. Collaborate and MEMT Engineers to determine the best practice for managing logistics machines
7. Update older electrical systems for changes; cost reductions; improvements; safety and quality control
8. Repair broken equipment and wiring
9. Perform calibrations for wire placements and electronic components
10. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
11. Implement best practices and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance equipment reliability
12. Act as a point of contact for maintenance-related emergencies and coordinate swift responses to minimize disruptions in the designated areas

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a technician or apprentice or relevant work experience
• Understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics is required
• Experience with electrical controls up to and including 480v
• Basic understanding of relay logic
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
• Strong mathematical and technical skills
• Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; works effectively with others
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• Demonstrates initiative to identify improvements and or cost reduction
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work day night shifts hours as needed, work during facility maintenance shutdown periods and respond to on-call situations as required.
• Must report to work on a regular and consistent basis and meet performance expectations, including working safely and complying with company policies
