Position Overview:
Construction Mechanics Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Technician for a long-term opportunity in Jupiter, FL. This role requires a mechanically skilled professional with a strong background in facilities maintenance, particularly in complex building systems. Candidates should have hands-on experience working in large-scale environments such as healthcare or industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on backup power systems, including generators and automatic transfer switches.

  • Service and repair mechanical and HVAC systems such as chillers, boilers, compressors, and air handlers.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain piping systems delivering steam, chilled water, and gases.

  • Replace motors, belts, pulleys, and other components related to large air handling equipment.

  • Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical systems, ice machines, and pneumatic tube systems.

  • Interpret technical documents such as schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.

  • Utilize maintenance management systems to track work orders and productivity.

  • Collaborate effectively with other technicians and departments to ensure optimal building operations.

  • Uphold safety, communication, and performance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive mechanical background, ideally 15+ years of experience in maintenance roles.

  • 10+ years of experience in environments such as hospitals, labs, or manufacturing plants.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting ability across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic tools required.

Compensation:
$25–$35 per hour, based on experience and skillset.
