Manager of Strategic Programs and PartnershipsTo support the delivery of high-quality program outputs by helping the Head of the department oversee the project/program conceptualization, lead program implementation, and optimize the targeted budget toward the corporate affairs strategy.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Program Selection and DeliverySupport the design of new programs, or redesigning existing programs / inbound proposals, to advance UAE’s knowledge economy in line with the organization’s mandate.Support in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure operational excellence in delivering program intended objectives and to enable the realization of the intended outcomes.Contribute to the successful delivery of the programs by acting as program manager, tracking workstream progress and deliverables to ensure their quality and timeliness and leading key workstreams.Assist management in formulating and monitoring risk mitigation measures to ensure program deliverables are attained and that estimates meet target completion dates.Contribute to the development of the program budget through calculating estimates based on collected contractual data, financial requirements and the scope of work and services.Maintain close liaison with the corporate affairs team and cost controllers to regulate program costs and to report on preliminary costs to the upper management team.Network Development and ManagementSupport in maintaining a value-adding network with critical external local and global entities and bodies; and to keep Tamkeen’s portfolio active especially in the areas of entrepreneurial promotion, knowledge creation, higher education governance, cultural educational diplomacy, strategy consulting, and civic engagement.Supervise the junior team (analysts and senior analysts) to drive a successful program delivery; including approach conceptualization, objectives formulation, and monitoring the implementation plan.Work with the Head of Strategic Programs and Partnerships to attend Project Steering Committee and fundraising meetings with senior external and partner stakeholders.External Consultants ManagementSupport the steering of engagements with external consultants and senior subject matter experts.Team ManagementSupervise the junior team (analysts and senior analysts) to drive a successful program delivery; including approach conceptualization, objectives formulation, and monitoring the implementation plan.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, International Relations, Economics or similar discipline.A Master’s degree is an advantage but not required.Experience:5 years’ experience in an advisory role within a management consulting or public advisory firm context.Experience with signature national initiatives in the UAE, including in the education, research, innovation, and start-up sectors, is preferable, but not required.Demonstrable experience in supporting engagement with stakeholders at the senior government / ministerial level.Experience designing programs and delivering successful project outputs in the area of strategic analysis.Strong educational and practical background in project management (i.e. project scoping/design, project planning and implementation, and quality and risk management).Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research and analyses.Strong knowledge in preparing PowerPoint presentation including content creation, structuring and storyboarding.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge in project quality control and assurance.Consulting or in-house expertise background and knowledge.Professional project management and communication skills.Ability to propose and present solutions to the senior managerial level.Strong communication skills; written and verbal, formal and informal.Ability to effectively mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback.Ability to manage conflict and solve problems as they arise.Exceptional time management and organizational skills with meeting set deadlines and attention to detail.An ability to understand new concepts quickly across a variety of fields (education, government policy, etc.).Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducation, Analyst, and ManagementIndustriesStrategic Management Services, Higher Education, and Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
