Manager Systems Engineering
Job ResponsibilitiesLeads a team of engineers responsible for delivering Systems engineering, Global Product Support (GPS) which delivers installation procedures & supports resolution of customer escalations, and Product Safety engineering solutions. This role is part of Global Products Engineering (GPE) team with Lam India Global Hardware Technology (LIGHT) group. Leads, develops, and manages a group of 7~8 technical lead, program leads, senior engineers, from Mechanical, Electrical, Product Safety & System engineering domains. Responsible for the technical capability development at LIGHT GPE in these domains. Leads product safety function and monitors the activities like safety risk assessments on equipment, assembly and component designs to comply with SEMI Guidelines, UL Standards, CE and other industry standards. Monitors and enable SEMI and other 3rd party safety evaluation. Manages the testing & validation activities at LIGHT GPE lab, ensures the utilization of the lab infrastructure at Lam India. Develops the systems engineering practices and works collaboratively with leadership, SMEs to develop the capability to support the equipment intelligence (EI) feature integration and utilizes the lab infrastructure to drive EI features validation. Supports the design reviews (DRs). Prepares the operation reports, holds collaboration and alignment meetings with global stake holders. Coaches and mentors, the team to improve the technical capability, deploys the talent strategy for the team. Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) utilizing 8D for product safety and problem reports related to global product support. Experience and education Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience Educational qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics. Key skills required Having hands-on experience in systems engineering and driving projects starting from requirements management to designing of system architecture, build, validation, installation and commissioning of industrial equipment. Experience on wafer fabrication equipment, handlers - having ability to drive installation of tools in the lab, having exposure to mechatronics and systems engineering. Having experience statistical data analytics including Regression, Montecarlo, Factor analysis. Proficient statistical approaches – variation analysis, design of experiments. Leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Proficiency in leading System FMEA, System reliability concepts, design for safety. Having people management experience, situational leadership, setting goals, talent development, motivating team to achieve team goals.
