Managing Quantity Surveyor\nLocation: Hybrid with travel to sites as required\nOur client is a well-established, highly regarded, successful and profitable main contractor construction group primarily working with large blue-chip corporate customers in the retail, distribution/logistics and industrial space, on a repeat project basis.\nThe Board have the ambition to continue their growth curve over the coming years with this seen as a key hire in future success.\nThey are now seeking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor, reflecting their desire for the business to continue growing profitably and delivering to the high, industry-leading, standards they are known for. This key position will be part of the company’s core management team reporting to the Group Board of Directors and will help to ensure this success.\nThe Role:\nA highly commercial position, working as a key part of the senior leadership team, amongst other things the Managing Quantity Surveyor will:\n * Take ownership of all QS matters for the business\n * Lead and mentor the existing QS team and recruit new employees as required\n * Ensure a uniform approach toward project cost efficiency, elimination of waste and maximisation of project profits across the business\n * Be part of the Bid team for consideration of final pricing and tender submissions\n * Ensure timely month-end project reporting by all QSs, and that budgeted project margins are protected / improved upon and any exceptions identified and reacted to on a timely basis\nRemuneration: Market leading six figure remuneration - attractive basic plus bonus, company car and benefits, including hybrid working\nPerson Profile:\nThe successful Managing Quantity Surveyor will be:\n * A credible and experienced Quantity Surveyor with proven people management experience and aptitude\n * Commercially astute and emotionally intelligent\n * Able to manage, maintain and balance the competing interests of various stakeholders\n * A highly professional, team player\n * Have proven experience with significant construction projects related to Retail, Logistics / Distribution hubs, industrial etc\nApplication:\nPlease apply for this Managing Quantity Surveyor opportunity ASAP, as we are looking to make an appointment promptly.\nNote:\nNJR advises the organisation on the basis of an exclusive consulting assignment.\nAny Third-Party applications and correspondence will be forwarded by our client for us, as their retained advisor, to review and no commercial consideration will be available for such unsolicited introductions
