Supervisor Manufacturing Engineer The Supervisor Manufacturing engineering position is responsible for factory automation, evolving the confluence of mechanic & automation, this spearhead of industrial innovation designs and manufactures complex automated systems: Machines, automations, robots.The main task of the Supervisor Manufacturing engineering:To lead & manage the processes & equipment innovation by looking and adopting new technologies siting on the state of art and keeps aligned with latest and greatest market and innovation trends.To Develop new process, Mfg. equipment and tooling in alignment with strategy aiming for capitalization, Technology, and footprint optimization.To initiate, track and lead all technical innovation concepts at the AUT NAF region, and in charge to share experiences and best practices with the local teams to be extended within Automotive EMEA & other regions.To lead and specify complex specifications, lead & ensure Mechanical design & automation, performs process Design & synoptic, with skills on Process Thinking, , New Manufacturing Concepts, & up to date on Technological Watch, responsible for the various technical choices made within in the field of mechanical design & automation,To plan, ensure Technical follow up (internal/external), ensure Tooling Follow up & Projects Budget elaborationInterface between all layers and in close collaboration with R&D team, Process team, production, maintenance, etc..., suppliers and service providers.Tasks Summary & Responsibilities (please enclose organizational charts)Leads equipment and tooling construction projects with full solutions delivery from development phase until handover to series production.Responsible to create and track, equipment and tooling development schedules with clear milestones in alignment with AUT NAF strategy.Develops and implement a standard innovative assembly and processes concepts.Deliver Projects Time Plan and actions plan to construct effective production tool according to Plan for SOP with all project contributors.Provides all needed Basic Production Equipment Data e.g. Machinery and Equipment details (Specs, Conditions, Aging information, etc.).Leads the activity of Suppliers & subcontractors Development to reach the optimum sourcing for equipment, tooling, and spares parts.Collaborates and supports Product Engineering (PE) & process Engineering (PsE), to improve Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and to develop new Concepts.Ensures all lessons learnt are applied within an innovative approach for all new equipment & tooling designs and concepts.Strives for continuous improvement of processes towards customer satisfaction Focus on customer needs and expectations.Manages his team members, ensures training, development and enhances skills to achieve high performances and deliver a best-in-class operational Mfg. concept.Ensures communication and information sharing with his team members.Designs, develops, and qualifies tooling and processes to meet quality and production standardsActs as interface between engineering and manufacturing / production.Strong software knowledge in Creo Parametric, PDM-Link,Supports research and development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypesStrong knowledge in development phase of machine from all aspect, from study till industrialization.Strong knowledge in pneumatic, mechanical design sys & in addition of automation fieldExperience in transfer systems (conveyors, vibration feeders, etc),lead testing procedure, processing and analyzing results of processes or equipment to ensure they function as desiredPreparation of quotations, concept plans, post-calculations, costs estimationControls the economical use of available material and intellectual capitalDeveloping and maintaining clear and accurate documentation and status of automation equipment or processesBuilding relationships with external suppliers and manufacturers.Participation in internal or in external machine design projectsEnsure the acceptance of new technology /machines with all concerning department.Drives for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methodsPossesses an extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes, which may include the optimization and standardization of processes within the manufacturing environment.Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirementsGood technical skill and logical thinkingGood communication skills to able to present the designs plans to customers, & negotiates with experts and representatives of foreign companiesStrong know-how on assembly process, testing, cable assembly processing including cutting and stripping, potting, cleaning, vision, welding, stamping, and plating is a plus.Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering field strong CAD knowledge.5+ years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development assignments. Automotive industry preferred.At least 3 years of practice in the field at technical and supervision level.Ideally, professional experience in the design and construction of high-speed assembly systems/Machine.Six Sigma certification is an advantage.Strong background in technical concepts and in machines / tools /production development.3D CAD knowledge Mandatory.Excellence Mindset and Lean tools (Six Sigma degree is preferable).Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken. German is a plusMobility and willingness to travel (up to 10% from the time).Other important things to note Advanced knowledge of 3D design program (advantage Creo, Catia, SolidWorks)Basic knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function: e.g., CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering toolsBasic knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc. & Structured problem-solving experience; A3, DMAICAdvanced knowledge of MS Office applications, i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPointInnovative idea-generatorAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of management, customers, and external regulatory officials. Technical report writing and excellent record keeping required.
