PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client in Taylors, SC.
We are searching for an experienced and knowledgeable Manufacturing Engineer for the production department. The associate will initially be trained and work on operating machines on the line.
The Manufacturing Engineer manages the plant manufacturing production and finishing departments Leads process improvement projects required in the manufacturing areas of the plant. Establishes & Implements safety requirements, programs, standards, and documentation.
Manufacturing Engineer Essential Responsibilities:
- Operates machinery on production lines as needed
- Establish & Implement safety requirements, programs, standards, and documentation
- Create work instructions for equipment operator and manufacturing processes
- Establish and implement training programs with detailed instructions on manufacturing processes
- Responsible for managing the development, continuous improvement, and documentation of the manufacturing processes in a cost-efficient manner
- Responsible for overseeing the handling of data regarding product reliability, conversion efficiency, and manufacturing yield
- Responsible to interface with manufacturing to reduce material and labor content while meeting production schedules
- Assists in the development of the department and project budgets (including cost projections) and ensures adherence to the same
- Presents project and program status reports
- Interfaces with other Company and Customer Representatives as required
- Responsible for effective communication levels and fosters team building
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering disciplines or the equivalent
- 5 or more years' experience in engineering in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Organizational and Managerial Skills
- Understanding of continuous improvement/quality tools
- Understanding of Robust Engineering/Design of experiments, SPC 6 Sigma and FMEA
- Problem solving skills
- Possess excellent data handling skills
- Understanding of Engineering Techniques and Practices.
- Photovoltaic experience(preferred)
- Good communications skills
