POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining, developing, and operating manufacturing processes and systems. They are responsible for developing manufactured product costs, manufacturing processes, continuous improvement of processes and systems, and keeping the production costs down, while maintaining the quality of the product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops manufacturing product costs and processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
  • Evaluates manufacturing product costs and processes by designing and conducting research programs
  • Create, analyze and validate component material costs and targets
  • Develops, updates, verifies and maintains bills of materials and routers for production in ERP system
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
  • Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data
  • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • BS in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or equivalent field
  • 5+ years of relevant technological knowledge in equivalent field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Infor LN ERP knowledge is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Shows the capacity to generate creative solutions
  • Ability to lead and work independently
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work
  • Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills
  • Thorough understanding of operations practices, processes, policies, procedures, standards and metrics
  • Exhibits professional experience working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
