Key AccountabilitiesUtilizes key mechanical design and manufacturing principles to effectively make decisions impacting safety, product quality, delivery and costReduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all formsDrives root cause corrective actions to reduce non-conformances and improve flowOptimize productivity through efficient, ergonomic and safe work station and tooling designsRemain current in new Manufacturing Engineering technology, new manufacturing techniques and new equipment. Recommend new approaches where feasibleLead and participate in Kaizen events based on VSM RoadmapsUtilizes RBS tools to solve problems and continuously improve. Promote and facilitate the use/establishment of continuous improvement tools.Assist in developing and implementing the lean manufacturing action plans to support achievement of strategy deployment and strategic business growth.Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving problems using problem solving tools such as DMAICDevelop and implement manufacturing cost out projects.Assist manufacturing and assembly associates to resolve set-up, tooling and fixture problems, special process (heat treatment, plating and welding) and selection of proper tooling and grinding wheels.Develop, maintain and implement process routings and set-up instructions for the production of parts and assembliesAbility to write programs that will machine complex parts to very close tolerances on multiple axes on various machining centers.Horizontal Machining Centers including Macro, sub program and variable programming knowledge.4 axis lathes, 5 axis lathes, Y axis lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers large and small“Shop Floor” problem solving.Kaizen participation such as SMDE, VSM, 5s, ect...Maintain program library's and revision status of program revisions per NADCAP requirements.Hands on knowledge of the programs storage and the ability to assist shop associates in uploading and downloading programsDesirable Experience, Capabilities and Success FactorsBS in Engineering, or related technical field requiredA minimum of three years of engineering experience working in a manufacturing plant environmentExperience in industrial technical field, programming CNC equipment is requiredAt least one year of experience with grinding, turning, and milling machineryAbility to extract critical data and analyze data to make informed business decisions.Excellent computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)Demonstrated proficiency in project management.Team orientated with the ability to influence others without authorityExperience with manufacturing bearings a plusSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt a plusExcellent computer skills (CAD/CAM, Auto Cad, Shop Cam, Solid Works, Master Cam word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.)Available for work in Chihuahua, MexicoAbout Regal RexnordRegal Rexnord is a $6.5B publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
