Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Leeming Bar area. Our client is a well-established manufacturing businesses with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.

Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:

\n

    \n
  • Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant - includes pneumatic and hydraulics
  • \n

  • Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems)
  • \n

  • Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
  • \n

  • Strong communication and organisational skills - able to provide detailed shift reports
  • \n

  • Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site
  • \n

  • Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills
  • \n

  • Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high-pressure situation
  • \n

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • \n

Role Requirements:

\n

    \n
  • 2 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience.
  • \n

  • Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiative
  • \n

  • Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
  • \n

  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
  • \n

  • Competent in electronic fault finding.
  • \n

  • Understanding of safe working practices.
  • \n

  • Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • \n

  • PC literate and competent computer skill
  • \n

  • Flexibility
  • \n
