This position focuses on troubleshooting mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance, mechanical engineering, root cause analysis, Kaizen projects, and continuous improvement initiatives!

Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical expert during plant issues and emergencies, ensuring swift corrective and preventive actions.
- Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues, providing technical support to maintenance, tool room, and production teams.
- Ensure all equipment is properly released to production following maintenance or repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute repairs, modifications, and improvements to equipment and tooling.
- Utilize maintenance and tooling management systems to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Lead Kaizen events to increase line efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production output.
- Implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements for the operations team.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and promote adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Support a culture of workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Foster positive relationships with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and engineering, to optimize workflows.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

2+ years of experience in Operations or Engineering
Qualifications:
-
Experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Experience with A/B Control Logix 5000, Siemens S7 PLC’s, various VFD motor controls.

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic controls.

Stamping press and/or tooling troubleshooting experience .

Energetic, hands-on; able to drive change and continuous improvement.

Experience applying Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing principles.

Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with production employees, peers and manufacturing management.
