Profile: To perform final assembly Manufacturing feasibility, planning and support program implementationAdvance Manufacturing Engineer works closely with cross functional teams like, Product Design Engineering, Facility, MP&L and Plant Engineering Team to validate Design and assembly feasibility for New Product LaunchAdvance ME has to Identify the assembly, Labor, Tooling cost saving opportunities, design commonization, complexity reduction, Facility Hardpoints & Facility re-usability opportunities during the design phaseCreate, modify and update program specific process sheets DPA5Perform checks, Raise part/process issues as identified to programRe-perform checks as D&Rs CAD matures through UNV2Support in establishing virtual build sequenceP-Release Conduct ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required Lead identification, resolution, and closure of Mfg feasibility issuesComplete design phase Health Chart assessments Write/modify/maintain process sheets (SOW) and deliver updated Cycle Line LayoutsFailure Mode (PFMEA) creation and updates to manage RPN riskSupport Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF) development and sign-off Interface with Design and Release activitiesDeliver cycle line layouts and work with the assembly plants to have a complete operator/equipment workstation ready for launchDevelop program cost analysis, tooling design and build SOWs Define tooling needsDC and pneumatic tooling, Fixtured tooling and lift assistsIdentify ergo tooling needs o Major equipment and / or automation needsPallets, details, and subassembly build-up conveyanceError proofing Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs Job Location: Chennai Experience: 2 to 5 Years Number of Positions: 1 Skillset: Teamcenter vismockup, Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering preferred
