Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for a Machinery Engineer on a permanent basis.\n\nWorking as part of a Project team, who ensure the smooth running of a Manufacturing Plant, you will be responsible for process and plant equipment, whilst providing support to several different departments.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Represent the engineering department in all equipment aspects\n\n * Support the plant development, working within a multi-disciplined team\n\n * Ensure all site machinery is safe and legally compliant from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.\n\n * The successful candidates will have a broad-based experience in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate proven skills in the application of equipment engineering.\n\nAreas covered\n\n * Set & Measure facility performance\n\n * Agree equipment strategies to ensure equipment OEE is achieved and improved while life cycles are managed and maximized.\n\n * Provide technical support for maintenance to ensure equipment is kept in first class condition\n\n * Knowledge of the latest machine and equipment standards is essential\n\n * Ability to form a refurbishment strategy\n\n * Planning, Schedule Control & Project Management is required\n\n * Procurement of production equipment & processes\n\n * Must always be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe working environment\n\nExperience and Qualifications Required:\n\nSkills:\n\n * Good inter-communication & report writing skills\n\n * Computer literate, MS project, Excel etc.\n\n * Able to demonstrate a positive and logical attitude\n\n * Good negotiation skills\n\n * Planning, Schedule Control & Project Management\n\n * The capacity to quickly learn and absorb new technologies\n\nEducation\n\n * Technical Degree / Certificate or equivalent in an electrical discipline\n\nAdditional:\n\n * Strong communication skills and a confident manner – able to do presentations etc..\n\n * Demonstrate management of contractors, and interfacing with potential equipment suppliers.\n\n * The ability to travel domestically and internationally as and when required.\n\n * The desire for personal future growth\n\nSpecific Technical Skills:\n\n * Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background\n\n * Knowledge of the latest machinery standards\n\n * Some PLC and systems knowledge is desirable but not essential (Siemens / Mitsubishi etc.)\n\n * Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines would be a distinct advantage.\n\n * Knowledge of current legislation of machinery standards\n\nExperience working within APQP, IAFT framework desirable
