Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Hopkinton, MA USA 01748

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Job Description:

• Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‐assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for component and subsystem design for rebranding products with a focus on DFM (design for manufacturability).
• Technical writing in support of design inputs, design outputs, qualification activities, regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate and contribute as a part of a project team with primary focus on mechanical design and production transfer activities.
• Determine design feasibility, evaluate design alternatives, and select optimum design approach
• Develop requirements, specifications, drawings, bills of material, and material cost estimates

• Understanding of machining, injection molding, compression molding, thermoforming, CNC machining, die-cutting, sheet metal stamping/forming and extrusion methods in relationship to product development.
• Proficiency in solid modeling and drafting using SolidWorks. Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus.
• Track record in design for manufacturing and industrial design.
• Open to college student with AutoCAD and change order management experience.

Education:

• Pursuing or completed BS in Engineering
