Job PurposeSupports daily needs of manufacturing as an engineering resource. Creates, Reviews and updates routings and manufacturing documentation, assists QN (Quality Notification) resolution, participates in Root Cause Analysis, develops Standard Work Instructions, defines and implements process improvements, and improves tooling/fixturing as required. Ability to train others in the application of manufacturing/engineering practices as related, gaining a mastery of a single area or multiple broader areas of specialty, product and systems. Ability to anticipate internal and external business challenges with impact on the organization, recommends best practice solutions. Assists in translating customer requirements into a viable and competitive manufacturing solution. Be able to access technical risk and construct mitigation plans. Acts as a quality improvement lead. Help and coach process owners to improve their skills. Functions as SME in the application of design principles as they relate to the manufacturability of our products. Works closely with Design Engineering, Quotations and Projects in the review of work scope for product offerings. Acts as the approving manufacturing entity for all drawings and products. Subject Matter Expert in machining. Job DescriptionStandardizes processes for manufacturing core products and redesigns processes to improve throughput and manufacturing costs. Develops routings and manufacturing documentation, designs tooling and equipment. Supports machining operations with expendables ordering and invoicing. Update area metrics to identify areas for improvement. Reviews routings, programs and toll lists prior to release for manufacturing approval. Creation of manufacturing documentation for use in production areas. Coordinates with area supervisor for on boarding of new personnel within manufacturing. Acts as a technical resource providing guidance and expertise for team members in their daily technical work. May occasionally be called upon to fill in or help handle excess workload demands. Leads and facilitates continuous improvement thru; SIFP, QIPPs, and Lean initiatives. Standardizes processes for manufacturing core products and redesigns processes to improve throughput and manufacturing costs. Identifies and requests tooling, gauges and fixtures to support the manufacturing or products. Provides manufacturing support as needed. Understanding of customer requirements and ability to identify deviations as they occur. Ability to train others as related to and area of specialty. Provides support to manufacturing personnel and teams in a concurrent engineering environment. Identifies and procures tooling, gauges and fixtures to support the manufacturing of products. Provides manufacturing support in the identification, procurement and management of machine tools for production. Provides technical support to Project and Business Teams and performs manufacturing engineering activities in a concurrent engineering environment. Performs special projects to support business objectives as required. To adhere company HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) policy, rules & regulations. To integrate HSE as part of the job function. Perform Gap Analysis of relevant machining industries standard or TechnipFMC machining specification meet process. Perform the readiness task as per Manufacturing readiness level (MRL).You are meant for this job if:Bachelor's degree in engineering with two to five plus years of relevant experience in specialized area or product line(s). 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, machining engineering, quality, instrument for all types of oil and gas contracts Experience in oilfield equipment and knowledge in ASTM, ASME IX, API and NACE standards will be distinctly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to independently create and implement functional and cost-effective processes that meet complex specification requirements. General understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, profit impact of decisions) affecting assignment areas.
