Job Description

Under indirect supervision of the department manager, the Manufacturing Engineer performs detailed or routine manufacturing engineering assignments involving processes and methods, tooling and machine designs, cost estimates, and/or resolving engineering problems involved in the manufacturing of products. 

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in Manufacturing
• Act as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering
• Create and maintain engineering & manufacturing documentation
• Lead and support projects focused on process improvement, quality control, and lean manufacturing
• Managing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with corporate policies and procedures
• Generate routings
• Investigate labor variances and correct standards as needed
• Lead or support Capital Expenditure Projects
• Respond and implement process change requests as required
• Identify opportunity for productivity improvements related to equipment, methods of manufacturing and workflow enhancements and recommend and implement
• Process Engineering Change Notices
• Support Global R&D Program
• Review engineering designs for “design for manufacturability”
• Identify and assist with safety improvements on shop floor
• Analyze time studies and actual versus standard labor hours
• Lead kick-off meetings for engineered products

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering .
  • 2-5 years' work experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically Engineered to Order manufacturing. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High level of analytical ability. 
  • Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Salary range: $88,000 - 94,000 / year
