Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic- level 1-
Job DescriptionJob Description
Responsible for repairing and maintaining facility equipment and machinery, insuring that it functions properly so that the organization can meet business demands. Consistently adhere to and model all safety requirements.

Quickly respond to and resolve equipment and machinery breakdowns and emergencies. Keep management informed of downtime

Install and remove equipment, machinery and products. Change blades, saws, conveyor belts.

Fabricate repairs and adjustments to existing equipment and parts for new equipment

Forklifts: perform oil & filter changes, brakes inspection, fluid & repair, general maintenance. Drive forklift to deliver/remove materials from work site

Perform welding, torch and plasma cutting

Perform preventive maintenance, including but not limited to: lubricating machines

Insure compliance with Lock Out Tag Out and all other safety and hazardous materials handling procedures

Complete department paperwork, including but not limited to OSHA records, work orders, parts and equipment orders, safety investigations and documents

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 75 pounds. Must be able to stand, climb, squat and crawl for minimum 8 hours per day. Requires overhead reaching and working.
