Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee the efficient functioning of the maintenance department, ensuring equipment reliability, implementing continuous improvement strategies, and conducting training programs for maintenance associates.

Essential Functions:

  • Assign and coordinate maintenance tasks for associates, including work orders and proactive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team to identify resource needs and ensure completion of tasks.
  • Improve equipment reliability by optimizing inventory stocks, identifying critical spare parts, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proactively address equipment issues to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance work on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
  • Conduct training programs for maintenance associates.
  • Implement proactive maintenance programs for plant equipment.
  • Enforce standardization of parts and equipment.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience required.
  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing industry (preferably plastic industry).
  • 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity and ability to use safety equipment as required.
  • Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and potentially hazardous materials.
