We specialize in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of aerospace components, and we are looking for a dedicated NDT Parts Handler to play a key role in ensuring components are properly prepared and positioned for inspection.

Job Overview:
The NDT Parts Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, preparation, and handling of parts that require Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). You will ensure parts are cleaned, positioned correctly, and ready for inspection by NDT technicians, while following all safety protocols and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading & Unloading Parts:
    Carefully lift, transport, and position parts using appropriate equipment (cranes, hoists, forklifts) to place components onto inspection fixtures or tables.

  • Part Cleaning & Preparation:
    Clean parts to remove dirt, debris, or contaminants that could impact the accuracy of NDT inspections.

  • Precise Positioning & Alignment:
    Position and align parts on inspection tables or fixtures to ensure they are accessible for NDT methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrant testing.

  • Marking & Labeling:
    Identify and mark inspection areas on components according to established guidelines to ensure accurate testing and analysis.

  • Data Entry & Recordkeeping:
    Maintain accurate and detailed records of parts, inspection methods, and any anomalies found during handling or inspection.

  • Quality Control Checks:
    Perform basic visual inspections to identify any obvious defects or irregularities before parts undergo NDT testing.

  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Assist with basic cleaning and maintenance of NDT equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Safety Compliance:
    Follow all safety procedures for handling heavy parts, exposure to radiation (if applicable), and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical Ability:
    Ability to lift and maneuver heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions as needed.

  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge:
    Understanding of how to operate lifting equipment and general mechanical principles related to part handling.

  • Attention to Detail:
    High level of accuracy in handling, positioning, and labeling parts to ensure inspections are conducted properly.

  • Safety Awareness:
    Strong commitment to following safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Basic Computer Skills:
    Ability to enter data, manage records, and access relevant inspection documentation using basic computer applications.
