This Manufacturing Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the heavy manufacturing operations. Duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the production processes run efficiently, safely, and cost effectively while maintaining the highest quality
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, tracking expenses and variances
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to senior management
  • Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement, proposing and implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Drive a culture of ‘safety first’ and ‘continuous improvement’, ensuring the site and your teams comply within this heavy and highly regulated environment
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations incl. production planning, scheduling and resource allocation
  • Lead, mentor and motivate your team, carry out regular performance reviews and encourage training and development for the team
  • Work closely with cross functional departments, ensure resources, materials and maintenance are in place to meet production targets

Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak to experienced manufacturing operations leaders that consider themselves to be a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing. You will have demonstrable experience with excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.

  • You will be educated with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy manufacturing operations management.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
