Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, combined with business acumen, and will be responsible for the overall operations, including P&L management of our warehouse and production departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day activities within the warehouse and production departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality performance.
  • P&L Responsibility: Manage and optimize the financial performance of warehouse and production areas, including budgeting, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Engage with all levels of staff to drive operational success.
  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Maintain an active presence on the shop floor to identify and address operational challenges, ensuring that solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Work with team members to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, sales, and finance, to align operational goals with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in manufacturing, production, or a technical field. Experience with P&L responsibility is essential.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical problem-solving ability and a hands-on approach to leadership.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across all levels of the company.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business.
    • A proactive, hands-on leader who is not afraid to dive into the details.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand both technical and financial aspects of operations.
