As an Operations Manager within Inalfa you are in the driver’s seat for the daily operations of an assembly facility and operations staff in order to meet production targets, financial targets and other objectives set forth by the General Manager and regional headquarters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILIITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plans and directs through subordinate levels of operations staff the daily requirements to run production and maintenance in the facility and coordinates needed support from the other functions such as quality, materials (scheduling/planning), supplier quality, supply chain, inventory, logistics, human resource in order to achieve internal metric targets, customer required production levels and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for establishing direction for operating performance and improvement using the QOS method to maximize profit and minimize operating cost.
- Schedule and plan overall direction of the operation, using quality cost and manpower as criteria to establish work priorities and meet financial goals.
- Responsible for the accuracy and interpretation of all operations performance data and reports to ensure effective communication and the ability to meet cost targets.
- Maintains cohesive relationships and drives improvement effort from corporate level support groups as required to meet objectives.
- Direct and lead operations budgeting process to support financial targets for the facility.
- Advises & coordinates with advanced program teams to ensure launch preparation activity and advanced programs are developed to meet customer requirements.
- Responsible for the quality of all units produced.
- Responsible for coaching, performance management and development of operations staff.
- Enforce company policies & regulations to operations staff.
- Must be familiar with and perform work tasks in order to fulfill corporate, business unit and personal goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises the employees in the Engineering, Quality, Materials, Production, and Maintenance department including managers, supervisors and subordinates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
IATF16949 RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to all IATF16949 procedures as related to the Manufacturing Operations Department function.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or 10 years of automotive manufacturing management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced degree in business or technical field is .
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing strategy and concepts.
SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
