DuPont Kalrez® | Vespel® delivers a broad range of technology-based products and solutions to the transportation, aerospace, electronics, healthcare, industrial and consumer markets.NOTE: Visa sponsorship/support is NOT available for this position, including any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process and/or future work visa renewals (e.g., F-1 (CPT or OPT), H-1B, O-1, TN, etc.) New hires must have a valid SSN number prior to hire to obtain employment with DuPont.RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION​This position provides day-to-day manufacturing support with operational and technological responsibilities to assure safe and continuous run-ability of the processes, while developing strategies/systems to improve manufacturing performance. The position will be supporting site initiatives, capital projects, and continuous improvement efforts in coordination with the EHS, Engineering and Technology organizations. Digitization, automation transformation and sustainability will also be a key aspect of the role.Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​Conduct work activities and demonstrate leadership behavior consistent with DuPont Core ValuesUse process expertise to ensure facility and personal adherence to regulatory, and company policiesProvide daily technical support to Operations (occasional off-shift/weekends when needed) including process optimization, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and risk analysisAssist with the implementation of solutions to improve processes (safety, yield, uptime, capacity release)Monitor manufacturing equipment performance; assessing reliability of equipment, identifying failures and causes of failures, and recommending solutionsProvide technical leadership and support to plant capital projects, including design, capital justification, PSM, and commissioning activitiesWork closely with the production and maintenance teams to develop production strategies and systems that improve manufacturing performanceMentoring and influential leadership of production resourcesWork with Commercial and Quality teams to respond to customer inquiries and/or quality notificationsInterface with Technology and Business resources to develop innovations and coordinate product rollouts to the facilityDevelop, maintain, and improve operating procedures​JOB QUALIFICATIONS​Requirements:​Chemical Engineer/Mechanical Engineer or equivalent5+ years of experience in manufacturing or related industryA rubber manufacturing background, including experience in elastomer mixing, milling, extrusion and molding unit operations, is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plantSelf-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skillsSix Sigma or similar continuous improvement and statistical analysis experienceProven ability to diagnose and resolve complex process and production issues using multiple disciplined teams and data driven analysisAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks, adapt to changing conditions and balance a “big picture” focus with detailed executionDemonstrated knowledge and application of critical systems including PSM, SAP, Six Sigma and TEEP/OEEKey reasons for you to apply: On-going learning and personal development opportunities in a rewarding work environment.Start or continue on a career journey that can span different businesses, projects and functions with opportunities for personal and professional growth.Additionally, diversity, equity and inclusion are central to our high-performing culture. #LI-JH1Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us! https://careers.dupont.com/us/en/jointalentcommunityDuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
